The Steinbach Curling Club offers leagues for every type of curler – competitive, casual, and everything in between. Whether you’re just learning the game or you’ve been sweeping since childhood, there’s a spot for you on our ice.



Men’s League

- Mondays at 7:00 pm

League Notes
- All games are 8 ends.
- Five rock free guard zone rule is in effect.
- No bell, but teams are to be on the ice 5 minutes prior ice time to warm up, and do the coin toss.
Read More
- First rock to be delivered within 5 minutes of game start time or offending team will lose 1 point and that end.
- During game play, players must deliver their rock within 2 minutes of opposition rock stopping or forfeit the throw.
- Teams can call two 3-minute time outs during the game to discuss the shot.
- In case of a tie, an extra end will be played.
- Record W and L after each game.
Spares must play lead. - We’re here for camaraderie with our fellow curlers, so enjoy the game!
- Trophies will be awarded.
- Grand Aggregate: most points all year.
- Club Championship: top 8 teams (points) play off.
- Division: most wins in the last round.

Benefits:
- Prolongs curling participation with reduced sweeping and shorter games.
- Ideal for beginners, returning players, or older curlers.
- Promotes physical, mental, and social wellness.
- Increases club participation and volunteer base.
- Easier scheduling and more flexibility for clubs and events.
Differences from Regular Curling:
- Two-person teams.
- Sweeping only from the hog line into the house.
- Each player stays at one end of the ice.
- Six rocks per player per end.
- Games are six ends.
- Three-rock free guard zone.
